France will move to recognize a Palestinian state this year, Macron says

France's President Emmanuel Macron holds a press conference at the 19th Summit of the Francophonie at the Grand Palais, Paris, Oct. 5, 2024. On the Oct. 7 anniversary he expressed his solidarity with “the pain of the Israeli people” on social media and met with the families of French hostages being held by Hamas.

In a major shift, Emmanuel Macron said France will move to formally recognize the state of Palestine in the coming months.

The French president said in a TV interview Wednesday that recognition of a Palestinian state could encourage adversaries of Israel, such as Iran or Saudi Arabia, to grant it recognition.

“We must move toward recognition, and we will do so in the coming months,” Macron told the France 5 station. “I will do it…because I believe that at some point it will be right and because I also want to participate in a collective dynamic, which must also allow all those who defend Palestine to recognise Israel in turn, which many of them do not do.”

The step would mark a significant change for France, which is home to Europe’s largest Jewish community and has long been a close ally of Israel — acting as one of the country’s largest arms suppliers early in its history. Israel, in turn, is home to a growing population of French immigrants.

HUGE.
French President Emmanuel Macron made a surprising statement this evening (Wednesday) when he said that France will be RECOGNIZING the new state of Palestine very soon. (There are literally only 15 countries that do NOT currently recognize the state of Palestine.) however the “official count” is 147 of the 193 UN member states DO RECOGNIZE the state of Palestine.
North America:
United States, Canada.
Europe:
France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, United Kingdom.
Asia-Pacific:
Australia, Japan, Myanmar, New Zealand, South Korea.
Africa:
Cameroon, Eritrea.

According to Macron, this acceptance and fanfare will take place in June, during a joint conference of France and Saudi Arabia, which will be held in New York at the UN PEACE CONFERENCE ON ISRAEL/PALESTINE.

"We must move towards recognition (of a Palestinian state), and we will do so in the coming months," he said in an interview with the French channel 5 France.

According to Macron, Paris' recognition of a Palestinian state will lead to countries that support the Palestinians recognizing Israel.

"Our goal is to finish the mutual recognition process of several countries," he added. "I do this because I believe that at some point it is true, and because I also want to participate in a collective dynamic (peace plan) that must allow all those who defend Palestinians to RECOGNIZE ISRAEL - something that many of them do not do."

The French president also said that recognizing a Palestinian state "will allow us to be clear in our FIGHT AGAINST those who DENY ISRAEL'S RIGHT TO EXIST - what is happening with Iran - and commit to collective security (the Abraham Alliance) in the region."

If France DOES RECOGNIZE a Palestinian state in the coming months, it will join the ranks of countries that have already declared it during the war.

Last June, for example, Armenia announced that it joins 147 other members of the United Nations, and recognizes a Palestinian state.

4 European countries
announced their recognition of Palestine, right after Armenia in the same month, which were Norway, Ireland, Spain and Slovenia.

Israel, in response, saw the Knesset members vote by a large majority in favor of a statement according to which the Israeli Knesset OPPOSES the ESTABLISHMENT of a PALESTINIAN STATE.

Once FRANCE acknowledges a "State of Palestine", most if not all of the countries in the world will come to recognize a Palestinian State.

BIG THINGS are coming June 2-4, 2025, at the UN PEACE CONFERENCE on the TWO-STATE SOLUTION

Even as far back as 2017, Macron expressed support for the two-state solution.

"We will continue our efforts together with the UN to find a SOLUTION of TWO STATES, ISRAEL and PALESTINE, that will live SIDE BY SIDE, within borders that will be recognized by the international community," the French president said at the time, noting that "JERUSALEM will be the CAPITAL of BOTH STATES."

Hoping for peace, Israel gave Gaza to the Palestinians

In 2005, Israel removed all Israeli residents, dug up Jewish graves, withdrew all soldiers, and handed Gaza to the Palestinian Authority. Soon after, Hamas violently overthrew the PA, and since then fired tens of thousands of rockets at Israeli civilians. Additionally, Hamas used incendiary balloons to burn Israeli land, and built 400 miles of tunnels to attack Israel. As a defensive measure, both Israel and Egypt began a blockade to prevent Hamas from importing materials used for terrorism.

Trading land for potential peace was a disaster. In fact, both the Israelis and the Gazans were worse off after Israel withdrew. It became clear that Hamas’ war is not about land; it is about Islamist supremacy and hatred of Jews

In June also, the UN is voting to force Israel into a two state solution. They (the UN) want to implement the division in September. And...

We know Trump has basically issued an ultimatum to Iran and he's given them two months, so end of May. And...

Iran's military leaders are pushing for an strike against the UK/US base at Diego Garcia prior to that deadline. And...

China has announced more restrictions designed to complete eliminate all pockets of Christianity.

2025 will be an eventful year. I just hope there's enough time for the Stanley Cup playoffs before everything blows up.

I have to take issue with a statement made by Bubba News in the OP. They wrote that the United States recognizes a Palestinian state. This is not accurate. The United States does not recognize a Palestinian state. It does recognize the PLO as representing the Palestinian people, but it does not recognize them as having an independent state.

WHo you goin for in NHL?

Oh well , there's a famous pizza ad in Australia that has the catchphrase "Ahhh McCain you done it again."

If France pushes ahead with this, i'd hate to see what natural or economic disaster will befall them and if this does happen, ypu can replace the name McCain with Macron!!!!

Saudi Arabia and France brief UN members on preparations for high-level Palestine peace conference

Saudi Gazette report

NEW YORK —

Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasel, and his French counterpart Ambassador Jérôme Bonnafont jointly chaired the first briefing session for UN member and observer states on the upcoming high-level international conference on the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian question and the implementation of the two-state solution.

The briefing, held at the UN headquarters in New York, comes as part of ongoing preparations for the conference set to take place in June 2025 under Saudi-French co-chairmanship.

In his remarks, Ambassador Al-Wasel reaffirmed the Kingdom’s longstanding and unwavering support for the two-state solution, emphasizing that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state is essential for regional peace and stability.

Participating states also commended Saudi Arabia for its leading role in supporting the Palestinian cause, its chairmanship of the conference, and its efforts to maintain political momentum and encourage collective action toward a meaningful outcome.

Macron is an idiot and his elitist social marxist position is always based on PC trending woke virtue signaling, especially if he thinks it will get him the highest levels of power, money, and attention. But to be honest, similar Palestinian statehood stupidity will be pushed now or later after Trump is out. He's on record now as being in front of everyone else that's bent the knee to Trump and this new 4 year presidency and I figure it's for something grand and major......perhaps the EU leadership? Whether he hates Israel or not, I believe he has no idea what the Bible says and is fully clueless about the end times. Not sure how dangerous he is but the top of the top in Europe will likely have the ear of the coming world leader.

If I lived in France, I'd leave ASAP, and for sure before the announcement.

Guess the islamization of France has forced a change in what the French government does :furious:  :apost: :ban:

If we're not about The Lord's work and sharing The Gospel, I think we're headed for sharia and the same government capitulation. I don't see President Trump caving, though.

Hopefully we're gone before the US turns its back on Israel. It may be that the Rapture and removal of The Restrainer is what allows that to happen.

  :amen: :amen: :thankyou: :thankyou:

The plans call for East Jerusalem being the capitol of this new nation-state. I can't imagine current Israel giving up more land when all the previous land for peace exchanges only led to sorrows for Israel.

This whole thing is demonically inspired/driven. Israel should annex the gaza land before her enemies take their plans any further.
