Well, all I can say is a big thing that satan and his minions would NOT want happening is believer's in Christ and those seeking salvation, to be praying!
This tells me (and also God's Word) that prayer is very important, powerful and effective, including against evil. Believer's in Christ, who are in right relationship with God and looked upon with incredible favor because of the righteousness of Christ imputed to them, have God's very attentive ears.
I can attest that God answers many prayers, "small" and big! Don't be afraid to pray, pray about everything!
Let your gentle spirit be known to all people. The Lord is [a]near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:5-7 AMP
On another note, our founding fathers designated the freedom of religion. In their historical context, it was freedom from being dictated to which church they are allowed to attend, freedom to choose their church of choice. And from innumerable quotes from Presidents, Congressmen, and various leaders of our country during and long after their time, it was quite clear that creating a framework, the Constitution that allowed for and greatly encouraged the worship of God, Jesus Christ. At the end, the Constitution speaks of "...the year of our Lord." In it's historical context that would be one Lord, Jesus Christ.
On July 4th, 1776 at the declaration of the thirteen united states of America the terms: Nature's God, Creator, Supreme Judge and Divine Providence were utilized to support this Declaration. So, to divorce the idea of a sovereign, almighty God being depended on in the formation of the Constitution and the great declaration of this very day, July 4th, is to be completely uneducated or purposely obtuse of America's history.
Many of our schools and colleges also were formed to encourage and develop believers in Christ to serve Him. Harvard is one of them.....although one would not be able to recognize this today.
Just some truth thoughts for the day.
