Emily, Doron, Romi: Three hostages released from Hamas captivity on first day of ceasefire

Hostages expected to be released in the first phase are those who fall under the humanitarian category, such as women, children, elderly or wounded.

Hamas confirmed on Sunday that 28-year-old Emily Damari, 23-year-old Romi Gonen, and 31-year-old Doron Steinbrecher have been released on the first day of phase one of the hostage-ceasefire deal.

The deal will see 33 hostages released in the first phase in exchange for the release of security prisoners, humanitarian aid, and an IDF withdrawal from some areas in Gaza. Israel will release 30 Palestinian detainees for every civilian hostage and 50 Palestinian detainees for every Israeli female soldier Hamas releases. Hostages expected to be released in the first phase are those who fall under the humanitarian category, such as women, children, elderly, or wounded.

"The Hostages Families Forum welcomes the exciting news that Romi Gonen, Doron Steinbrecher, and Emily Damari are expected to be released later today. We await their safe return to Israel to be reunited with their families after 471 days in Hamas captivity," the forum said.

Health of freed Israelis worse than initially assessed
Kan-11 journalist, Katie Dore, reported that the health of the Israelis who returned from Hamas captivity is worse than initially assessed.

Noa Argamani, Almog Meir Jan, Andrei Kozlov, and Shlomi Ziv are suffering from psychological trauma and various health issues.

The former hostages are experiencing problems caused by malnutrition, having been deprived of adequate food for extended periods. They were often kept blindfolded for long durations.

In her report, Katie Dore noted that those released exhibit symptoms that may indicate the development of Stockholm syndrome, although this diagnosis has not yet been confirmed.

The Israeli hostage exchange for the release of Palestinian prisoners is a bad deal overall, as 30 Palestinian prisoners were released for every 1 Israeli hostage released earlier today.

The 90 prisoners were transferred from various prisons across the country to the Ofer Prison in the vicinity of Jerusalem. There, they underwent security and identity checks in addition to medical examinations before being subsequently released.

The Red Cross posed some difficulty, as the RED CROSS CANNOT BE TRUSTED. The Red Cross not once tried to tend to the Israeli hostages in Gaza. Truly pathetic.

The Red Cross was posing some major difficulties in the transfer of the Palestinian prisoners.

"Red Cross personnel, for unclear reasons, were stalling and delaying the process of transferring the Palestinian prisoners. The Red Cross claimed that there were discrepancies in the lists, and it seemed like they wanted to portray Israel as failing to meet the agreed-upon timelines," an Israeli official was quoted as saying.

Most of the prisoners on the list were women, and only 1 prisoner on the list was under the age of 18 at the time of their arrest, and was convicted of murder.

Wonder why Magen David didn't process instead of the International Red Cross.
Or the Red Crescent.

And Red Crescent or Magen David didn't process instead of International Red Cross in Gaza.

In any case, so long as the agreement, no matter how bad, gets all the Israeli hostages back.

We know the terrorists will break the deal, so then is the time for God and Israel to rectify whatever.

Until then, the ball's in the terrorists' court. Peace or utter destruction. Their choice.

Errrmm, why did Hamas give the hostages gifts ???
That's bizarre !!!!

Trojan horses?
Copy-cat on the pager thing the Israelis did?
Bio? Radiological? Chemical?
Spy devices? Trackers?

Maybe someone actually cared, even though they couldn't do much for the hostages.

Or to help Stockholm syndrome along/reduce bad things the hostages would say.

Or public relations ploy in public.

From what I have been reading about it, the contents of the gift bags had Photos of their captors and other items that are reminded of their captivity and what has been determined is what they had in mind has to do with what is called
Stockholm Syndrome.
Look it up.
It's a form of psychological warfare and the purpose of the contents is connected to whatever torture or assault the hostages went through and is to keep remembrance of it as a form of continual torture of the mind. Similar to induced PTSD

Oh, no.

Turn it in to intel and tell what each person in the photo did and didn't do. If the person doesn't die before arrest, it can all be used at trial.

I'm pretty sure intel seized it all and asked lots of questions, and will ask questions again later when the Victims have recovered some.
