President-elect Donald Trump is issuing an ultimatum for Hamas, saying that if hostages aren't released before his inauguration in two weeks, "all hell will break out."

"If they're not back by the time I get into office, all hell will break out in the Middle East, and it will not be good for Hamas, and it will not be good, frankly, for anyone," Trump said during a Tuesday press conference.

"I don't have to say anymore, but that's what it is," the president-elect said while appearing alongside Steve Witkoff, his special envoy to the Middle East.

It might be helpful if Trump would directly include Iran in his promise since hamas is a tool of Iran and thus is directly responsible for the whole hostage situation. It would be nice to wake up on 21 Jan 25 and hear that every one of Iran's nuclear sites has been completely destroyed, along with coastal assets such as boats, oil terminals, etc.

As for hamas, I think American forces would just get in Israel's way. It would be ideal to just give Israel a green light to do whatever Israel feels is best and provide all the support we can that Israel wants. Israel could stop feeding the enemy. When the complicit population is starving that population might help root out hamas to help end things.

I think the USA would just get in Israel's way if we tried to get directly involved in gaza. Right now Israel is just searching for rats in the rubble, and any underground tunnels they haven't already destroyed. The USA could open wide the weapons pipeline and bomb Iran's nuclear and possibly other facilities, then advise Iran that that was just phase one and if hamas doesn't surrender and account for every hostage within "x" amount of time, phase two will immediately follow that stated time. I think that would work.
