Doctrines of Demons. It's Not What You Think

1LoverofGod

Well-known
Tom Hughes discusses how false biblical teachings have increased as he outlines scripture that points this being part of the last days and how it's even infiltrated within the Church.

A rise in religion based on feelings and emotions rather than truth.
Emotions and feelings can lead to a dangerous place quoting Jeremiah that says the heart is deceitfully wicked.

I'll stick to old-fashioned, staid, conservative, traditional liturgy and hymns, Bible verses read out of a real Bible, and even a boring sermon, so long as it preaches and teaches what it should, based on the Bible readings, thank you very much. Not all Pastors are entertaining in the pulpit, and that's not why they're there, anyway. Of the eight Pastors, who served (six at a time) at the church I was confirmed at, during my teen years, the best one had the most boring sermons. But one-on-one, if I had a question, there wasn't anyone I would have rather have had answer it/them. The second-best Pastor had the best sermons, but he unfortunately retired [sigh]

(old stick-in-the-mud here)

Stupid question: are part of today's touchy-feely, emotion-driven, don't-offend-anyone doctrines and emphasis on entertainment a result of ordaining women and people with unrepentant, public sin, which besmirches the church and the church's witness? Social zeitgeist and PC driving, watering down, and weakening the Church, instead of the Church being salt and light?
