When God commands us not to fear, there are several things involved I believe. First there is Philippians 4:6-7
"do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
We pray and put our focus on the Lord. Also we should remember that is a choice of our will not listening to our emotions that allows us to go forward and obey with courage because courage is not really the absence of a feeling of fear but obeying anyway because we trust our Father God.
