Colorado Supreme Court Disqualifies Trump from 2024 Ballot

Tall Timbers

Imperfect but forgiven

The Colorado Supreme Court ruled Tuesday in a 4-3 opinion that the Constitution’s “Insurrection Clause” prohibits former President Donald Trump from appearing on the ballot for the presidency in 2024.

“The court found by clear and convincing evidence that President Trump engaged in insurrection as those terms are used in Section Three” of the Fourteenth Amendment, the ruling reads.

The provocative ruling partially reverses a prior ruling from Colorado District Court Judge Sarah Wallace, who ruled in November that Trump is not an officer of the United States as defined by the Fourteenth Amendment and that the Amendment therefore cannot be used to disqualify him from appearing on the Colorado primary ballot.

So a state supreme court has taken a lie and vilifying a person who has not been convicted of a crime (aren't we innocent until proven guilty?) There taking the lie and interfering in an election that will determine who our next President will be. This is pretty awful.

This is shaping up to be a battle over States' Rights.

Dobbs v Jackson (overturning Roe v Wade and national right) established a recent precedent.

We can't pick and choose. Either there are Federal laws protecting a woman's right to choose and uniform ballot laws, or States have the right to regulate abortion, ballots, etc. The Constitution is clear about the States having authority except in the few areas reserved for the Federal government.

Regardless of what happens, God is still in charge and still in control :)

  :amen: :amen: :thankyou: :thankyou:

Comes as no surprise.

It was my firm believe "they" would never allow Trump back in the White House.
This could be one of their most "peaceful" ways to do it. Evil can be smart sometimes.

But still it could become a very dangerous situation if/when the Trump base takes to the streets.
Their rights have been trampled on for a very long time now. Their frustration could boil over.

What then? Civil war? The last shreds of a once decent society demolished?
The urgent need for a man with a plan for peace and security?

Watching and waiting, my friends. Watching an awaiting.

Regardless of what happens, God is still in charge and still in control :)
This!

That's the way I see it and as awful as this state supreme court decision is, I'm for states rights as prescribed by the Constitution.

I remember thinking that first time that if Trump was elected, maybe we had a while to go before the Tribulation stuff really started forming. A pause to regroup and catch our breath.

Turned out Trump's election seemed to step on the gas and things went bad very quickly - evil came out in the open on the streets, the Trump Peace Plan was announced and the plague hit. THAT also seemed to step on the accelerator towards the Tribulation.

Then the re-election campaign went sideways with help from Dominion voting machines and China, Russia etc. I had worried then that "they" would assassinate Trump, but God preserved him and they "merely" stole the election.

It's not like Biden/Obama has been a break in the action, the speed seems to be increasing as B/O projects weakness around the globe. Armpits of the world unite under the fearless, feckless, foolish Biden/Obama leadership

BUT

I have the feeling that if we DO see Trump elected, we are heading at warp speed.
