Fox News Digital confirmed that the Sun Fresh market in Kansas City, Missouri is “no longer" able to serve the community as of now despite millions in funding.

Despite its efforts, Sun Fresh has been plagued with empty shelves and crime, leading employees to reportedly carry tasers. Last year, the Kansas City Council approved spending $750,000 in emergency city funding in an attempt to keep the store open.

The govmint shouldn't be competing with private businesses... obviously the govmint isn't too good of a competitor, but they shouldn't be doing that in the first place, not in the USA, anyway.

It looks like the lack of market survival cash flow as well as the socialist leaning to honor looting seem to imply bad business practice. Amen.

If people loot stuff (I don't know what honor looting is) like they do in San Francisco, stores close. For business to operate, you need laws that are enforced.

If a store is run on a socialist model they don't make good business decisions because other factors take priority, therefore they go bankrupt.

Looks like both factors present here.

It's all over the local news (and YT, etc.) and not good for us in KC. Embarassing, but expected. The mayor is a joke. The city council is a joke. The political leanings of KC City gov and Jackson County is a joke. Often our local news TV media (and many on the radio) are a joke. But.....this is happening well beyond KC. The gross things I heard about sex in the parking lot and possibly in the store bathroom or otherwise, and violence, and robbery, and drugs, and etc. and etc. and etc. are extremely disappointing and disturbing. Shut it down. Stop whining. Get a car or Uber or friend to drive you literally just minutes away to another store that not a sinfest of stupidity and filth. Get some of your own $ and become independent and able. And, stop welching on the local/state/fed govt to pay for and supply you and complaining when the failures all around your area are without any correction of head, heart, spirit.

There's no way any store can survive when the community sabotages the operation, government or private.
