California man saved from raging flood in daring helicopter rescue

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. – Video showed rescue teams saving a man whose vehicle became trapped in rushing floodwater in Southern California on Thursday.

The Orange County Fire Authority said a man was found holding onto a tree as rushing waters from a creek raged around him in San Juan Capistrano.

Parts of California are being slammed this week by heavy rain from a powerful atmospheric river storm, which has produced flooding and mudslides in the Golden State.

It also produced an EF-0 tornado that struck the town of Pico Rivera in Los Angeles County on Thursday morning.

I got some of that downpour here and even a little snow which is not usual here on flatland.
What's up with the widespread weather catastrophies happening across the nation this week? 🙏
Wonder if it's the American negotiators in Israel "helping" out, will be later found to be pressuring Israel in some way. Often reading Bill Koenig's stuff or listening to him talk later making the connections between extreme weather events or political stuff and what a nation - including Canada and France is doing to Israel.

Regardless I'm praying for God's mercy with the tornadoes, fires and other weather and glad this guy was rescued.

I was imagining the rescuee's perspective and how incredibly grateful he must have been feeling in that moment. Perhaps even profusely thanking his rescuer.

And then it occurred to me what a beautiful picture this is of what Jesus did for us. While we were helpless in sin and it's devastating consequences, He came down to personally pull us out of the eternal hopelessness of our condition.

Thank you Jesus!

Yes, ing for God's mercy in California and wisdom for our leaders in regards to Israel.

That is a brilliant illustration to use in a message! Brilliant and beautifully descriptive.
