Boston Christian Leaders Call on ‘White Churches’ to Pay Millions in Slavery Reparations

Boston, Massachusetts, Christian leaders are calling on “white churches” to dole out millions of dollars in reparations to black people to rectify their history with slavery.

“We call sincerely and with a heart filled with faith and Christian love for our white churches to join us and not be silent around this issue of racism and slavery and commit to reparations,” Reverend Kevin Peterson said at a recent event at Resurrection Lutheran Church, the Daily Mail reports.

According to the reverend, King’s Chapel, Arlington Street Church, Trinity Church, and Old South Church must “publicly atone for the sins of slavery” and “commit to a process of reparations” due to hundreds of slaves being owned by their clergy and parishioners in the past.

“Where they will extend their great wealth – tens of millions of dollars among some of those churches – into the black community,” Peterson said, adding that a letter signed by 16 clergymen sent to the named churches outlined their reparations plans.

No. The fights of today are so weak. We used to roll our sleeves up and dust up. But now, we find ourselves still droning on about slavery as if it were an exclusively white and transatlantic phenomenon. Not to mention we are contending with way too many men who cry in the shower (okay, I've done that once or twice) and a culture that is bowing to cat ladies with nine pronouns who demand we decipher their gender bracelets. There probably aren't very many nationalities that haven't been enslaved at one time or another in history... Maybe folks should stop looking for free money and put their efforts towards helping those who are enslaved today.

"Diddy’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami were raided Monday as part of a federal sex-trafficking investigation, according to law enforcement.
The raid was made by Homeland Security Investigations in the Holmby Hills area of Los Angeles, with federal agents pictured coming out of the home with boxes and bags of evidence, including electronics.
A Miami home owned by record label boss Diddy — real name Sean Combs — was also raided Monday as part of the same operation, federal sources confirmed."

Ironically, the term "slave" comes from "Slav", the same Slavs who were enslaved by Muslims in the 9th century. What an irony in light of today's discourse around the topic.

I guess that they see past “not doing politics” because it’s a woke idea, it may make their church attendance rise and it’s popular with those who will benefit cause of their location and just trying to make the world happy. Plus it is grifting as already stated.
