Alleged Israeli strikes reported in Iran, Syria, Iraq

An Israeli missile strike targeted a site in Iran early Friday morning, according to ABC News.

The report came shortly after local sources reported explosions in Isfahan in central Iran, in the As-Suwayda Governorate of southern Syria, and in the Baghdad area and Babil Governorate of Iraq early Friday morning.

Flight trackers showed several flights headed for Iran had turned around and diverted from their planned routes, including several Emirati flights.

Reports of attacks in Isfahan, Iraq and southern Syria. It is possible that some of the explosions that are heard are a leakage of the defense systems. They are trying to get information about the targets in Isfahan - the center of the enrichment program but also projects in the field of drones and missiles.

Several posts from Amir on Telegram:

Iran is trying to broadcast business as usual and claim that there is no damage to the sites on the ground

---

The Iranians are trying to downplay as much as possible the damage caused by the Israeli attack. The goal, apparently, is not to climb too high a tree and not to be dragged into the war.

---

So…. Let’s summarize the events:
Israel carried a limited attack on Iranian bases from where the Saturday night missiles and drones were launched.
The damage is heavy but hard to see from the ground by civilians.
The only reasons anyone knows about this attack are the loud explosions from the air defense systems.
Israel sent a message:
We are able to attack and hit you hard. Now, let’s see if you will retaliate! If so, your nuclear sites are next.
The scale of the this attack trapped the Iranians. They can’t attack back and they can’t even use Hezbollah to strike hard or-else they will lose them as well.
While all eyes are on Iran the Israeli military is prepared to begin a powerful ground maneuver into Rafah.

---

The Iranians deny that missiles were launched in the attack tonight, they claim that small short-range UAVs were used, and that they were launched from Iranian soil. In addition, the base that was attacked is a base of the Air Force of the Iranian Army and not of the Revolutionary Guards
That’s very amusing :)

What a strange situation: both Israel and Iran maintains ambiguity.

---

ISRAEL HAS NO PROBLEM TO ATTACK DEEP INSIDE IRAN!
THE PSYCHOLOGICAL BARRIER IS LIFTED!
WE KNOW NOW THAT IRAN’S ATTACKING CAPABILITY AND DEFENSE CAPABILITY IS SUPER LIMITED!
IRAN WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR RUSSIA FOR THE NEXT ATTACK!

---

The International Atomic Energy Agency says this morning that there is no damage to the Iranian nuclear sites.

---

The American Washington Post: The Israeli attack on Iran was intended to signal to Iran that Israel has the ability to attack its nuclear facilities.

---

Iranian media is engaged in a massive propaganda effort to prove that “Nothing happened” in order to:
1. Not to admit that they were surprised and unable to stop it
2. Not to have to save face and respond - a move that will escalate the situation.

It appears that Israel's attack was very limited and possibly meant to do nothing more than send a message to Iran that if Israel chose to respond in kind to what Iran did, Iran could do nothing to stop the attack and the destruction would be massive.

Short term this may buy Israel some time to continue what they need to do with regards to Iran's proxies. Long term it gives her enemies time to beef up defenses/military capabilities.
