Since this could be used as precedent to overcome Christian objections to non-Christian translating, I think this is an intermediate step to have AI produce an "authorized" (PC, non-hate-speech, gender-neutral, etc.) "translation" of the Bible that will be the only legal/allowed one

"The Bible translation industry takes in about $500 million per year in donations. With all that money, it produces about 15 completed Bible translations each year. That comes to more than $30 million per translation. At this pace, it will take $60 billion and more than 130 years to translate the Bible into the remaining languages that do not yet have a translation.
Still, Bible translation organizations continue to raise money by making ambitious claims that are either verifiably false, or — more often — impossible to verify because of a lack of transparency in the industry.
These are some of the reasons an effort by Strategic Resource Group caught my attention. It has embarked on an experiment to see if a secular company — a translation service provider, or TSP — can translate the Bible.
The project leader for this initiative is Jane Schoen, the director of Strategic Initiatives for Strategic Resource Group. The goal of Schoen and SRG is to translate the Bible into 31 languages to reach unreached people groups in the Middle East and North Africa. They are starting with three languages — two in Saudi Arabia and one in Pakistan."
