35,000 Jews have immigrated to Israel since last year's Hamas Oct 7 terror attack

Approximately 35,000 Jews worldwide have immigrated to the Jewish state since the Hamas Oct. 7 attack on Israel in 2023, according to a Jewish Agency report published on Sunday.

The data revealed that Jewish immigrants hail from some 100 countries, with 31,000 moving to Israel in 2024.

Approximately one-third of the new immigrants were young people aged 18 to 35 and some have already enlisted with Israel Defense Forces.

The chairman of the Jewish Agency, Maj.-Gen. (Res.) Doron Almog welcomed the development by stressing the connection between Israel and Jews around the world.

Wiki shows Ben Gurion Airport having serviced 21.1 million passengers in 2023.
That's an average of 57,808 a day.

Methinks God has other plans to get His people home than just the airlines, even if military a/c and the Eilat Airport are used.

Maybe the angels will scoop them up and take them all to Israel during the Rapture :big grin;

There's still a ways to go. While just over half of the world's Jews live in Israel, 46% live outside. That means there are still 8.5 million Jews living in other countries, over 6 million of them in the United States.

A sign of the times seems to be openly tolerated anti-Semitism, I'm thinking many Jews might be at least thinking of making the move to Israel. Even in countries like the UK (and perhaps also the USA?) you can see anti-Semitic attitudes more often. For example in the UK, the large -pro Palestine demonstrations with shocking slogans that the police did not take action on.

One small way to push back is to support Israel, perhaps to buy some Israeli goods like fruit in supermarkets or online. My mum bought some Christmas presents, calendars from Joseph Storehouse, she was worried they might be vandalized by Anti-Semitic postal workers as has been reported before, but they made it here safely. God Bless All, hope you have a blessed 2025 ahead! :)

Not as long as Trump is president. At least not out of the US. They're comfortable here.
Hello Amethyst! Yes. I hope Trump lasts well and does a lot of good things. But the longer trajectory I think is that in a few years there will be another election, younger people in the West tend to be more anti-Semitic and pro-Islam than older people IMHO. God Bless you and Happy New Year :)

Depends on where one is.
There are serious issues in Twin Cities Metro and in St Louis.
Here, it's generally muslims; in St. Louis, it's often American fascists (sometimes called skinheads, neo-Zazis, etc.).

The TwinCities, especially Minneapolis and (suburb) St. Louis Park used to be respectively significantly and predominantly Jewish. The Jewish population has become more dispersed over time. Minneapolis is a kind of mini-NYC in many ways and used to be referred to frequently as the "Minne-apple." There was a store by that name that sold merchandise that pushed the idea. . . one in Southdale (first mall anywhere), one in Mall of America, and one in downtown Minneapolis. In many ways, the Twin Cities is still a mini-NYC . . .
