‘No choice’ – Israel’s security depends on Hezbollah war

Israel must “embark on a broad and comprehensive war to defeat Hezbollah” in order to return tens of thousands of displaced Israelis to their homes in northern border communities, as well as restore Israel’s deterrence in the region, says a prominent security analyst.

Diplomatic efforts pushed by the Biden administration to avert a full-blown war between Israel and Hezbollah are doomed to fail, Dr. Omer Dostari, a researcher at the Jerusalem Center for Strategy and Security, told Hebrew-language news outlet Ma’ariv.

“Hezbollah is currently the most serious threat to the State of Israel, except for Iran. If Israel does not manage to deal with this threat immediately, there will be another October 7th in the north a few years from now,” Dostari stressed.

“Israel must take advantage of the security reality that has been created, the international legitimacy following Hezbollah’s incessant attacks…and the fact that Hezbollah cannot strategically and operationally surprise Israel at the border,” he continued.

Anyone else wonder if this is where we see either the Psalm 83 war (if that is what it is) or Isaiah 17's destruction of Damascus or both?

No matter what Lebanon, Iran and anyone else tries they will never succeed and Israel will emerge with more land while they will end up the losers. God will protect Israel, not their enemies.

At some point here before Ezek 38 can happen, Israel has to become so secure, so complacent that they don't even realize Russia is on the point of invasion till it happens.

I used to argue (and a lot of teachers too) that Israel had a deep faith in their own IDF's ability to protect them. But listening to David Tal and other Israelis that faith in their own IDF's ability was shattered on Oct 7.

Now regardless of walls around the country as a strong border, or walls around towns, Israel is not able to trust in her walls because of the tunnels.

Hezbollah is bigger, armed far more and with deeper more hardened tunnels. Amir was asking for prayer for Israel this morning in his update.

Israel to launch full-scale war, invade Lebanon in late July: Report

Israel is gearing up to launch a full-scale war against the Hezbollah terror group, including a ground invasion of Lebanon, in late July, according to a new report from a German newspaper.

“Israel’s push into Lebanon looms closer than ever before. A date is set,” a diplomatic source told the tabloid Bild. While the exact date of the offensive was not stated, the source said it could happen as early as the third or fourth week of July.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to address Congress in Washington D.C. on July 24th. It’s unclear if the operation would begin before or after that date.
