IDF prepares 'significant' retaliatory strike to Iran's missile barrage

The IDF on Saturday commented regarding the retaliation against Iran for launching ballistic missiles toward Israel, clarifying that combat is currently ongoing on seven different fronts. Alongside the continued fighting in Gaza and the West Bank, Israeli soldiers and forces are engaged in operations in Lebanon, Iran, and its proxies in Yemen, Syria, and Iraq.

The struggle with Iran is viewed as a direct conflict, and it is expected that the Iranians will be preoccupied with their own affairs rather than just with their proxies in Lebanon, Syria, Gaza, Yemen, and Iraq.

The IDF plans to respond significantly but has not detailed the nature of that response. The IDF noted that the Iranians launched 201 missiles from Iran to Israel, some of which impacted targets.

Consequently, there is a broad recommendation within the IDF to respond to the Iranian attack while minimizing risks and maximizing opportunities.

**Iran knows IT'S COMING!

Hmmm 🤔 ⭕️ Iranian 🇮🇷 Authorities issued a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) for the closure of airways along the western border every night from today 8pm (Jerusalem time) to 4:30am October 9th, due to a “Military Exercise.”

This includes almost ALL OF THE ELAM AREA of Iran 🇮🇷 Very interesting…

Something to watch. Iran 🇮🇷 continues to prepare for Israel 🇮🇱

Something is heating up in the area. Safety concerns are forcing Arab airlines to reroute, avoiding Iraq and Western Iran airspace entirely, and at all cost.

A Majority of Arab-Based Airlines, including Emirates and FlyDubai, are Completely Avoiding the Airspace over Iraq 🇮🇶 and Western Iran 🇮🇷 even for Flights that would normally use these Routes.

These airlines are instead opting to use the Airspace over the Mediterranean and Northern Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦

This looks like a preparation for an immediate strike by 🇮🇷 on Israel 🇮🇱 when it is needed, as Iran believes that the attack by Israel is coming very soon.

Iran has issued a NOTAM
Western airspace
Every day from 17:00 UTC to 01:30 UTC Until the 9th of October

Presumably for military operations defending against Israel.

⚡🇯🇴🇮🇱🇮🇷 — Jordan has received a warning about an “Israeli attack against Iran in the next few hours.”

Curious to see whether Jordan will defend its airspace from use by 3rd parties, or whether this only applies to attacks ON Israel.

The Hashemite kingdom is among the regional states most vulnerable to a regime change soon.

Very interesting. The 🇺🇸 has reportedly offered Israel a "compensation package" that consists of “extensive diplomatic backing and additional military assistance” if Israel REFRAINS from attacking certain targets in Iran, possibly targets that are associated with the Iranian nuclear ☢️ program, says the Israeli news channel, Kann News.

The Biden administration really does not want a MEGA Middle East war until after the November 5th elections.

The Biden administration really does not want a MEGA Middle East war

Seems to me that there already is a mega war in the Middle East. Iran isn't a strong military power and hitting their nuclear sites hard and other military and economic assets will ensure they stay weak near-term.Iran is already involved big time in Israel's 7 front war. I wouldn't even see major and even continuous strikes on Iran as an escalation

Israel has one of the world's most powerful and effective military forces and they're fighting for their National survival. If that's not a mega war maybe someone can define the requirements for a war to be mega.

In my opinion, for reasons beyond my understanding our current illegimate govmint wants to protect Iran without appearing to be Iran's bosom buddy.

WILL ISRAEL PULL TRIGGER ON TEHRAN? Netanyahu calls urgent meeting of ministers, security chiefs as Israel enters most dangerous week of the war
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has just called an urgent meeting of the IDF's top generals, and the heads of Israel's intelligence agencies.

It is widely believed that they are preparing to launch a massive military attack on the Iranian regime, its nuclear facilities, and its oil facilities.

No one outside the highest echelons of the government knows exactly when but every Israeli senses that it is imminent.

Iranian Telegram channels claim that yesterday’s 4.6 earthquake in Iran was actually a nuclear weapons test.

(Carmel News)

Did Iran conduct underground nuclear test on Saturday night? ‘Measured’ earthquake in region suggests…

The intensity was 4.5 on the Richter scale.

New Delhi: An earthquake of moderate intensity occurred in Iran and Israel on Saturday night, October 5. Strangely enough, both the countries experienced the earthquake at a marginal difference in the timing. In such a situation, it is being speculated whether Iran has conducted its nuclear test.
The earthquake occurred in the Aradan city of Semnan province in Iran. Its intensity was 4.5 on the Richter scale.

Given the intense state of conflict between Iran and Israel, people have started linking the earthquakes in these two countries with Iran’s nuclear tests on social media. There have been speculations in many reports that it was not an earthquake rather Iran conducted underground nuclear tests due to which a shock was felt in both the countries.

Nuclear test or earthquake?
A report claimed that the earthquake in Iran occurred very close to the nuclear power plant, so it cannot be said whether the shock was due to an earthquake or a nuclear test.

Amos Yadlin is the former head of Israel's IDF's military intelligence. He's also one of the pilots who took out Iraq's Osirak nuclear reactor in June 1981.

Today he told CNN: "The [Israeli] 🇮🇱 attack on Iran 🇮🇷 will be something that has NEVER been seen in the Middle East."

Israel might not use a major air attack with missiles just yet.

Israel MIGHT do something no one is expecting. A LOCALIZED EMP - all the conditions are ripe as Israel wants to do something out of the ordinary, using another one of their "secrets"

We might just see the NEW future of warfare. Israel still has plenty of aces up their sleeve.

If Israel does an EMP on Tehran, Iran 🇮🇷 will find a way to get 5 of those nukes that Iran just tested underground onto hypersonic ballistic missiles and try to end the nation of Israel.

Everyone is on heightened alert 🚨 it seems like. And rightly so. The Middle East is a powder keg waiting to go off.

Explosions reported in Isfahan and Tehran, Iran. Media sources deny any type of Israeli attack.

The explosions heard over Iran 🇮🇷 are just military drills, as Iran has literally closed their airspace 600 times this year and done a million ground/air drills it feels like.

This was mentioned in one of the NOTAMS Iran issued over the past few days.

Explosions heard in Isfahan, Iran - report

Explosions were heard in Isfahan, Iran, Israeli media reported on Tuesday overnight, citing Iranian media.

I like maps and knowing where things are when hearing the news. This Reuters article has a good map with the main nuclear sites in Iran including Isfahan. https://www.reuters.com/world/middl...ar-facilities-long-israels-sights-2024-10-02/

The only 2 that sit within the borders of ancient Elam are Bushehr and maybe Isfahan. Isfahan is in the foothills of the Zagros mountains, so they are on the far eastern border of ancient Elam. If anyone is wondering about the Elam prophecy.

The article only focused on the known sites. There may be others, and there may be missile launching sites that the article didn't cover.

A report in the New York Times: Israel is expected to attack military targets in Iran, and possibly also intelligence facilities or facilities related to the Iranian leadership. At least now it is unlikely that Israel will attack Iran's nuclear facilities, and at the end of a calculated discussion it was decided that these goals will be preserved for the future - if Iran chooses to escalate the situation and continue with attacks.

Israel not expected to attack Iran nuclear facilities, to focus on bases, intelligence sites - NYT

Israel's response to Iran's missile barrage attack at the beginning of October will not be attacking its nuclear facilities but rather targeting the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps's military bases and intelligence sites, according to a Monday report from the New York Times citing officials.

The report said while Israel would prefer to have US backing in its response, Biden and other US officials have said that strikes on nuclear facilities would be ineffective and "plunge the region into a full-scale war," the report said. However, the nuclear facilities as targets may come into consideration should Iran escalate with attacks of their own. Both former and senior Israeli officials have

The Times also reported Pentagon officials wondering whether Israel is preparing a retaliatory response against Iran alone. The report also cited former and current senior Israeli officials who acknowledged doubts about whether Israel can actually cause damage to Iran's nuclear facilities.
Iran has already attacked Israel twice this year directly, with the first time being in April.
